What we collect

Information you provide voluntarily:

Newsletter signup: If you choose to subscribe to updates, we collect your email address. This is stored securely and used only to send you Moodlight news and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Account information: If you create a subscription account, we collect the information necessary to process your payment (handled securely by our payment processor, Stripe). We do not store your credit card details.

Information we don’t collect

Strategic Brief inputs: When you use the Strategic Brief feature, your inputs (product details, audience, challenges, etc.) are processed in real-time to generate your brief. This information is not stored, logged, or accessible to Moodlight staff.

Email addresses from briefs: The email address you enter to receive your Strategic Brief is used only to deliver that brief. It is not stored in any database or used for marketing unless you separately opt in.

Your queries and ideas: We have no visibility into what you search for, what briefs you generate, or what competitive intelligence you’re gathering. Your strategy stays yours.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to payment data.

  • Streamlit Cloud: Application hosting. No user data is logged or stored.

  • OpenAI: Powers brief generation. Inputs are processed via API and not stored by OpenAI for training (we use the API, not ChatGPT consumer product).

  • Google Workspace: Email delivery for briefs and intelligence reports.

We do not use advertising networks, tracking pixels, or sell data to third parties.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect any data we do collect. However, because we minimize data collection by design, there is very little to protect. We believe the best security is not having sensitive data in the first place.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request what data we have about you (likely just your newsletter email, if subscribed)

  • Delete: Request deletion of your data at any time

  • Unsubscribe: Remove yourself from our newsletter with one click

  • Opt out: You don’t have to provide any personal information to use Moodlight’s public features

Children’s Privacy

Moodlight is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll notify subscribers via email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
